Aim: Design, develop, & market a new knitwear line for Reformation that is
made from discarded materials that would otherwise be tossed into the landfill.
Objective: Tap into the growing knitwear market by creating knits that appeal
to the Reformation customers while continuing to adhere to the innovation of sustainable practices.
Outcome: A new unique line of knitwear that is made from 100% upcycled materials. The line will be marketed to the Ref lover who wants to participate
in this limited line of handmade pieces fighting to reduce textile waste.

For my Senior Capstone project I developed an upcycled knitwear line for Reformation. After personal experiences & solidifying research, I felt it was time to address the global textile waste crisis & get creative about solutions to decrease the impact. Reformation is one of fashions leading sustainable companies that continually pushes for new innovations to support the environment, making them the ideal choice for this initiative. Through primary & secondary research I observed the validity of the product line along with creating a marketing plan to cater to the brands target demographic.
In addition to the concept & marketing development of the project, I constructed a few of the pieces from my product assortment to see if the product development idea for the knitwear would actually work,
& guess what? It did!
